| *Wheel of Time/Fortune*
Welcome to the second installment of Wheel of Time. This game is pretty much an exact copy of the original Wheel of Time, except due to player feedback the starting colonists have been raised to 1M and natives to above average. We will also be slightly tweaking the map to distribute the planets a bit more evenly, but nothing major.
The Wheel of Fortune a alliance game existing of 8 teams of 2 players (16 total)
The goal of the game is simple: One Team is to rule the galaxy and everything is allowed to reach that goal.
*Who is this game meant for?*
This game is meant for:
- Players that like to play games on a tight map, 18 players with only 350ish planets!
- Players that like to play a game together with one of their friends / ally.
- Players that like diplomatic intrigues in the game.
- Players that like to 'roleplay' their race for added fun.
*Not meant for*
Rookie players / first time players
Solo players, find an buddy you can communicate through an instant messenger (at least) to discuss strategies. We can not stress enough how important it is to be able to discuss strategy. Bare minimum is frequent use of the banter board, but IM or even voice comms are highly recommended.
*Hosting schedule*
Hosting schedule will start at 3 times a week at least until turn 20 and we will change to 2x a week when a team requests to do so.
*Diplomacy*
Anything goes!
- Make deals with other teams if you like.
- Team up with other alliances and gang up on the unsuspecting
- Trade hull plans
- Trade colonists,prisoners food and cash
- Be honorable, be treacherous. Honor your deals or simply ignore them. It is up to you. All is fair in war and love.
However remember that only you and your teammate can win this game together. There is no second place! Thus helping an enemy become unbeatable will get you no where.
*Map & starting conditions*
The map exists out of a smaller inner circles and a wider outer circle of planets. The outer circle has a radius of 900 LY (1800ly diameter)
The circles are connected by 8 spokes of planets. In these spokes the teams will be located.
Home worlds between team races will be > 200 LY due to some racial abilities.
Planets will be on average resources and average natives
Home world starting resources are:
5000 MC
1M colonists
These settings are designed to encourage teams to go out and conquer instead of sit back and build an empire.
*Game restrictions*
- You may only have diplomatic contacts through email, instant messenger or other means with another player if you have a sensor scan of that race!
- Diplomacy with races you have not scanned yet can only happen through the banterboard or till they contact you (because they scanned you)
- Some race combinations are not allowed:
* Crystals may not start ally with a race having either a wave amp generators or laser mining drill / particle fountain/fuel drill/glory device etc
* UAE has been banned from this map due to its layout / pax
*Apply*
Only teams of 2 players can apply for this game. If you are a solo player you need to find a teammate before you can apply.
*Final note*
This game will not be for everyone. You might have to spend as much time writing diplomatic emails then making your turns. However that in itself is part of the fun.
Everything that happens ingame stays ingame! Nothing done in this game is personal and should be treated as if. After the game is over we are all friends again.
